Michael Richards explained to Jerry Seinfeld on his web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee about his racist rant in a comedy club six years ago. "Somebody interrupted my act and said some things that hurt me, and I lashed out in anger ... It was a selfish response. I took it too personally ... I should have been working selflessly."
