Ben Stiller receives American Cinematheque Award: he's called Renaissance Man of Comedy
Ben Stiller was the recipient of the 26th Annual American Cinematheque Award at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Martin Short came out to present him with the Cinematheque award said Ben’s lineage was “half Irish and half Jewish so we call him a Jew”.
Cinematheque’s Chairman Rick Nicita called the star, writer, director, prducer and humanitarian Ben Stiller a “renaissance man of comedy”. Stiller responded: “I didn’t know you could be a renaissance man of just one thing. It’s like a being a jack-of-all-trades of plumbing.”
