Dark Waters highlights legal battle against Dupont and forever chemicals

Robert Bilott, a Cincinnati attorney who took on DuPont for contaminating water with toxic forever chemicals, is portrayed by Mark Ruffalo in Dark Waters. The last frames of the movie is set in a

federal courtroom in Columbus.

In the movie, Robert Bilott, a partner at Cincinnati’s Taft Stettinius and Hollister’s law office, is beginning the arduous task of representing each of the thousands of victims who were exposed to “forever” chemicals from DuPont’s Washington Works plant in Washington, West Virginia, located along the Ohio River.
